RARE CHARTERSA DIFFERENT KIND OF ESCAPE

THE CHARTER NOTES

A beautiful boat. A thoughtful plan.

Bring the practical details into the conversation before you commit.

Start with the people.

Confirm the number of guests sleeping aboard, the cabin layout and whether any berths are shared or in communal spaces. Ask about steps, access and the needs of children or anyone with limited mobility.

Ask for the whole price.

Request a written quote for your exact dates. Clarify currency, taxes, fuel, meals, drinks, harbour fees, crew, transfers and any separate expense allowance or deposit. A weekly headline rate is not necessarily the final cost.

Agree what kind of week you want.

Tell the operator how much time you want under way, in harbour and at anchor. Ask who sets the daily route, how weather changes are handled and whether the start and finish ports are fixed.

Check before you pay.

Ask for the operator’s contracting details, charter terms, cancellation conditions and payment schedule. Confirm who will operate the boat and the relevant insurance and safety arrangements.
